For years, Max Sherman has been an integral part of the District 10 community. Along with his wife Lynda, the Sherman's have spent years as educators at Tillamook High School teaching hundreds of kids and preparing them for the workforce.
Since retiring, Max has focused on giving back to their community by volunteering with local organizations, and helping families in need.
Max and Lynda have been blessed with three great kids, and and eight wonderful grandchildren.
Max spent his career teaching students in Tillamook the value of hard work and the career-tech skills needed to secure a family wage job. As a FFA leader, and an agricultural instructor, Max understands that Oregon needs to focus on jobs where people can make, grow, and build a brighter future for their families.
As an educator, Max saw firsthand how many students he taught came to school hungry and in need. Since retiring, Max and Lynda have made it their mission to feed their community, growing thousands of pounds of food to donate to local food banks. Max's goal is that no family in Oregon experiences hunger.
